Europe in (light) progress on the forehead of the carbon

While the European Union multiplies interventions on the international stage to claim one afterwards - kyoto, while its own greenhouse gas emissions (GES) are? The last inventory published by the European Agency of environment brings the beginning of answer: in 2006, the programmes of GES went down by 0,3 %. It is also the case of the road transport (+0,7 % are 6,5 million tons of carbon dioxide furthermore). The development of the coal also procreates an important increase (+15,4 MTEQ CO2) of which the half for only Poland. On the other hand, accommodation and services used fewer fossil energies (-16,6 MTEQ CO2 for the EU in 15), except in Poland where the increase in the domestic consumption in coal is important (+2,6 MTEQ CO2) …

Positive seemingly, the balance sheet is not so glorious for the EU. The basics of progress noticed in 2006 are to put in the credit of chemical industry (fall of the programmes of oxide of nitrogen) and of the winter weather forecast. The programmes of methane slightly moved back, notably by a better workmanship of gases of discharge. But everybody did not contribute in the same way to the European balance sheet. France (-13,8 MTEQ CO2), Italy (-10 MTEQ CO2) and Spain (-7,5 MTEQ CO2) are the best pupils. At the rear of platoon, is found Denmark (+10,9 % are +6,9 MTEQ CO2), Finland (+16,3 % are +11,3 MTEQ CO2) and Poland (+14 MTEQ CO2). Germany, in spite of progress of its wind park, saw its programmes lowering only 0,2 MTEQ CO2. She remains from a distance the first transmitter of l ”Europe, with more than an equivalent thousand million tons CO2, almost the double of France …

Errors excepted in my part, not only once this word is named in except series, notably in the article “to rethink the city”. Damage, no? "Comfortable" telecommuting is made possible by the development of the facilities of telecommunications. Certainly, all activities do not take part in telecommuting. But if only 20 % people made it it would be only occasionally, benefit would be fabulous. I know for my part of the dozens persons which make every day 4 hours of transport to go to answer the telephone or to knock a PC. It is absurd! With telecommuting, not need of technological bound: we already have tools at our disposition to reduce emissions due to transport, to improve the quality of life in a considerable way, to solve partly the saturation of transposrts and to do the territory up Personally, my job is located in 90km of my domicile. With a simple access ADSL, I work 3 days a week at home and 2 days on the office to meet my colleagues. While does as it be waited? In my opinion brakes are only cultural: they are undoubtedly afraid that people lounge! However, telecommuting gives all guarantees of possible control and experience shows that a télétravailleur is more productive Perhaps an article on question in my favourite monthly magazine would it be the good beginning to promote possibility this to you?
