Europe in (light) progress on the forehead of the carbon
By Denis Delbecq • June 20th, 2008 in 10:10 · Category: Actuality
While the European Union multiplies interventions on the international stage to claim one afterwards - kyoto, while its own greenhouse gas emissions (GES) are? The last inventory published by the European Agency of environment brings the beginning of answer: in 2006, the programmes of GES went down by 0,3 %. It is not much, but confirms that the European Union, in 27, should be able to proclaim that she respected the Kyoto protocol. Since 1990, base year of international agreement, the EU saw its programmes postponing 7,7` % while it got involved on the figure of 8 %.
Naturally, this total reduction (16,6 million tons are equivalent CO2) mask of strong difference according to sectors. The European Agency underlines that the programmes of the aviation (+5 MTEQ CO2) and of the shipping (+10 MTEQ CO2) are sharply up. It is also the case of the road transport (+0,7 % are 6,5 million tons of carbon dioxide furthermore). The development of the coal also procreates an important increase (+15,4 MTEQ CO2) of which the half for only Poland. On the other hand, accommodation and services used fewer fossil energies (-16,6 MTEQ CO2 for the EU in 15), except in Poland where the increase in the domestic consumption in coal is important (+2,6 MTEQ CO2) …
Positive seemingly, the balance sheet is not so glorious for the EU. The basics of progress noticed in 2006 are to put in the credit of chemical industry (fall of the programmes of oxide of nitrogen) and of the winter weather forecast. The programmes of methane slightly moved back, notably by a better workmanship of gases of discharge. But everybody did not contribute in the same way to the European balance sheet. France (-13,8 MTEQ CO2), Italy (-10 MTEQ CO2) and Spain (-7,5 MTEQ CO2) are the best pupils. At the rear of platoon, is found Denmark (+10,9 % are +6,9 MTEQ CO2), Finland (+16,3 % are +11,3 MTEQ CO2) and Poland (+14 MTEQ CO2). Germany, in spite of progress of its wind park, saw its programmes lowering only 0,2 MTEQ CO2. She remains from a distance the first transmitter of l ”Europe, with more than an equivalent thousand million tons CO2, almost the double of France …

I entirely agree with you and I have nothing to add on subject.
I did not find better article than this one to react to the aberration of the commercial behaviour of our favourite announcing magazine “to Construct the Lasting world” and giving us, against a subscription and in the same number, superb Heated one Cup USB!
There is of what to rise up!
Here is therefore a small course has the attention of your éminences:
In Lasting word, there is Sustainable development, of course.
Composed of 3 main shutters: Ecology, Economy, Social.
Until then, I teach you nothing.
Now, from an Economic point of view:
Do you think that your magazine will be more profitable by giving a gadget to his client?
Do you think that the cost of its expedition does not have influence on your benefit?
From an Ecological point of view:
Let us make a simple rule of 3 between the weight of a coffee maker, its ecological cost and weight of Heated Cup, there will be a good idea of what he represents for our environment!
From a Social point of view:
Do you think to render service to your readers? Do not you think that it is insulting to understand that the normally sold subscription 87 € is worth only 49€ - 20 € of public price of the thing either 29 € Or an useless and unjustified additional cost of 66 %?
Now, let us pass to the constructive criticism of this commercial step:
Proposal 1:
Mark down by extolling you to you be the only equitable magazine selling at fair price the information which it contains …
Proposal 2:
P.26 of Except Series, S&V makes us a short summary of the Analysis of Cycle of Life of the provoked Coffee maker. This one allows to take into account the environmental weight of this such a banal object.
A distinguished specialist of the passive building, doctor Wolfgang Feist, describes the functioning of the thrifty houses by analogy between the same traditional coffee maker and another, isotherm. http://www.lamaisonpassive.fr / queue / le_cours / Passivhaus10.pdf
If you nonetheless want to return served in your reader by offering them a present (that they will nonetheless have paid in their subscription, we are not fooled); give them a passive and thrifty cup in energy: a cup thermally insulated, with cork.
Proposal 3:
Just to drive the point home here is another link

This one explains you how a research engine the only originality of which is to be displayed on black bottom economise energy. On this pared-down stimulant, I offer that the sites of the magazine are thrifty from now on there reprennant initiative.
Here for other advice, do not hesitate to contact me, I will have a lot of pleasure to be answered you,
Warmly,

The interest of the telecommuting of a point of view energy benefit is not so obvious in reality as it. Indeed, the benefit of a point of view the increase of other consumption at the level of the domicile partly compensates for transport, to see even completely cancelled, as the heating.
The real interest of the telecommuting of an energy point of view will depend therefore on a series of parametres: outdistance domicile-job, means of transport, type of (individual or collective) office, portray hot water tank (and how the home is heated: constant temperature when there is nobody or not,), etc …
